When you think of the Greek Islands it generally conjures up a romantic thought of the blue and white structures that contrast the cliffs of Santorini. Greece is the very essence of the alluring Mediterranean world. With civilisations, heritage and history dating back thousands of years.

Greece offers breath-taking ancients sites such as the magnificent Acropolis in Athens and iconic Olympia.

There’s something about the combination of whitewashed houses, brilliantly vibrant bougainvilleas that cling to doorways, multihued fishing boats in tiny ports, gorgeous sandy beaches and crystal clear blue glistening waters – there are nearly 2000 islands, some very popular and some still with little tourists.

A couple of favourites are ; Crete - where in Souda Bay many New Zealand soldiers are buried here - who fought during World War II. Awe-inspiring Santorini and windmill-studded Mykonos to many other gems scattered across the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas.

Throughout Greece you can indulge in local delicacies such as – moussaka, ouzo, souvalaki and seafood so fresh it melts in your mouth.
